Description

Steel Strapping

  • An excellent choice where you require no give in the tension when strapping heavy loads.
  • It has a high tensile strength and available in 13mm, 16mm and 19mm widths.
  • Steel strapping is available and coated in either black or zinc.
  • Most commonly used for exporting and the building trade.
Mill Wound (Oscillation) Strapping
  • The strap is wound evenly across the width of a wider coil.
  • This increases the amount of strap on a coil but on account of the additional weight is only used for narrower strap widths.
Ribbon Wound Strapping
  • Ribbon wound strapping is the most popular choice of steel strapping.
  • Each layer is wound directly over the one below to make the coil width the same as the strap width.
  • This is more commonly used for wider straps on account of the increased coil weight.
Stainless Steel Strapping
  • Made from carbon, iron and chromium.
  • Chromium makes the steel resistant to corrosion and rust, therefore an excellent choice in enhanced weather conditions.
  • Also used in food processing, marine and medical installation.
  • Use SBK buckles and SBT tensioner
