Description
Plastic Reel – Extruded Polyester (PET) Strapping
Extruded polyester is similar in appearance to polypropylene but has a higher break strain and is more elastic, so is used for heavier duty strapping. It can be used on some automated strapping systems.
- Extruded polyester strapping (PET) is to secure heavy products.
- It gives greater strength than conventional polypropylene strapping.
- It is a great alternative to steel as an environmental choice.
- It is 3.5 times lighter than steel and have reels available with breaking strains up to 800kg.
- It does not have any sharp edges and is safer when removing the strap as it does not have the whiplash effect that steel strapping has.
- As the strap is lighter than steel there is far more meterage per reel making it a more economical option.
- Extruded polyester strapping has good elasticity which helps in keeping your goods stable and secure.
- Available on both cardboard and plastic cores so can be used in tandem with your current strapping trolley.
